Elna Fenner Andrews

Elna Fenner Andrews entered UT in 1960.

“My parents were afraid, because of the things starting to happen. But then, on the other hand, they were really proud and happy that I had been accepted at UT. So, my parents, my relatives, the church – I was just getting all of this congratulations and this happiness from them. And that kind of gave me the strength or whatever to try it. Because I had so much, so many people behind me… You know, when you’re young, you hear all these good things. And… you just don’t worry about some of the negative stuff that you hear.”
